      In the context of comprehensively promoting rural revitalization, exploring the realization of the value of carbon sink products is a practice of Xi Jinping's idea of ecological civilization, and an important market-based means of realizing ecological protection compensation and green development. Entering the digital era, smart contracts based on blockchain technology, due to the developmental advantages brought by technological advantages, make it continue to integrate with various industries and form new development ideas and development models. Exploring the embedding of smart contract technology into carbon sink product trading can reduce the cost of carbon sink product trading and improve the efficiency of carbon sink product trading. However, the application of emerging technology is a double-edged sword, smart contracts can bring many advantages to the realization of the value of carbon sinks, but will also trigger the challenges of substantive law, procedural law, and the supervision of the new industry. Therefore, in order to realize the comprehensive and sustainable application of smart contracts in the field of realizing the value of carbon sinks, we should explore the rational return of the legal response path from the aspects of substantive law, procedural law and the regulatory mechanism of the new industry.
