      The annual report systematically assesses the progress of China’s environmental economic policies in 2024. Overall, it concludes that the environmental economic policy system has been continuously improved and strengthened, with its role in ecological civilization construction and ecological environmental protection rapidly growing. These policies have effectively promoted pollution control and ecological conservation, providing solid policy support for advancing green and low-carbon development as well as the construction of a Beautiful China. In the future, greater emphasis should be placed on enhancing the scientific rigor, systematic approach, cost-effectiveness, and institutionalization of environmental economic policies. A three-dimensional framework of“regulatory constraints-market incentivestechnological support” should be established, with integrated planning, comprehensive regulation, and collaborative implementation. This will provide crucial support for accelerating the transition to a fully green and low-carbon economic development and the realization of a Beautiful China.
